Eureka Truck Training – Safety Procedures Update

Eureka Truck Training remains dedicated to One-on-One truck driver training.

To Ensure the Safety of our Staff and Clients

Eureka Truck Training has implemented the following procedures with regard to the Social Distancing rules the Government has set to slow the Coronavirus :

  • We have re-arranged and re-designed our classrooms to meet the new rules.
  • We have limited the number of students to a maximum of  1 Student per vehicle at all times.
  • Before and between driver swaps, we are cleaning and disinfect the steering wheel, gear lever, door handles, etc.
  • We now have the facility in our vehicles to wash/sanitise hands between driver swaps.
  • We have incorporated a Declaration Form for all students to sign regarding Coronavirus symptoms and international travel.
  • We have an Office Policy for all staff members relating governing the Coronavirus- COVID-19 measures above.
  • We have stopped using the air-conditioners in the vehicles and we are now training with the windows down to prevent air circulation.

We are Open for Business and Continue Training

We are taking all the precautions required to ensure the safety of our staff and students.

Increased Cleaning & Education Programs

Eureka Truck Training has implemented a range of increased cleaning and education programs. These include:

  • Increase our already high standards of cleaning our training facility, as well as our vehicles;
  • Increased signage and awareness of the importance of cleaning equipment and surfaces with the supplied antibacterial products;
  • Working with our management staff and trainers on procedures and processes to mitigate potential infection;
  • Please see below-recommended infection control measures we should all be taking, as advised by the World Health Organisation.

Good Hygiene Practices

Everyone should practice good hygiene to protect against infections. Good hygiene includes:

  • washing your hands often with soap and water, or disinfectant,
  • using a tissue to cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze,
  • avoiding close contact with others, such as shaking hands,
  •  maintain social distancing of at least 2m,
  •  avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.

We continue monitoring the situation with the relevant state Health Departments and update our procedures as needed.
